Dr. Albert Levy, MD, FAAFP

Dr Albert Levy - Family Doctor in New York City

Albert Levy, MD, has been in private practice in Manhattan since 1986 and is certified by the American Board of Family Practice.

Dr. Levy received his MD from the Federal University of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. He came to the United States to complete a residency in General Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center and a residency in Family Medicine at Downstate Medical Center  in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Levy is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP), the New York Academy of Medicine and the Royal Society of Medicine (UK). He is a member of the American Medical AssociationNew York Academy of Sciences and the American Society of Psychoanalytic Physicians.  Dr Levy also holds a Diploma in Clinical Homeopathy from the CEDH.

Dr Levy has admitting privileges at Mount Sinai Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital, Beth Israel Hospital, St Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center, Roosevelt Division and Montefiore Medical Center.

He also holds academic appointments at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York Medical College and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and rotations are available in the practice for medical students from these colleges. Dr. Levy also lectures at various medical conferences in the United States and abroad.

For several consecutive years, Dr Levy has featured on the list of Top Doctors in the United States and in New York, as well as appearing in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in The World.

Dr. Mara Pulcheri, MD

Dr Mara Pulcheri - Doctor in New York CityMara L. Pulcheri, MD, is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American Board of Bariatric Medicine.

Dr. Pulcheri received her MD from Escola de Medicina Fundação Técnico Educacional Souza Marques, Brazil. She then came to the United States for an observership at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center, before going on to complete her residency at New York Medical College.

Dr. Pulcheri earned the 2009 Patient’s Choice Physician of the Year Award for her ability to foster therapeutic physician-patient relationships. She is a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP), the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), and the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP).  She is also an Associate Member of the Alumni Association of New York Medical College.

Dr. Pulcheri is affiliated with most insurances and is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
